Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. light Karo
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except vanilla.

    Bring to boil, stirring constantly, until candy reaches soft ball stage or 245° on a candy thermometer.

    Stir in vanilla.

    Pour into greased jelly roll pan. Let cool, then cut and wrap in waxed paper.
