  • 1 teaspoon non-aluminum baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 TB ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 5 green Szechuan pepper corns (see note)
  • 3 rasps fresh nutmeg
  • 8 ounces unsalted butter, slightly softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temp
  • 1 TB + 1 tsp rose blossom water
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
