Ingredients
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. crushed cardamon seed
- 7 to 8 c. flour as needed
Directions

1Sprinkle yeast into warm water with 1 tablespoon sugar; set aside 5 to 10 minutes or until foamy.

2Scald milk and add remaining sugar, margarine and salt.

3When margarine has melted, remove from heat, cool to lukewarm and add spices.

4Combine with yeast mixture and gradually stir in enough flour to make a stiff dough.

5Knead for 10 minutes or until dough is smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, turn to grease bottom and cover.

6Let set 1 1/2 hours or until elastic and smooth.

7Place in baking pan which has been buttered or oiled.

8Let rise 1/2 hour.

9Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes.
