  • 1 small Mclntosh apple ( 5 ounces )
  • 1 cup sliced, cooked carrots
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup apricot nectar
  • 2 ice cubes

    Peel and core the apple and cut it into large chunks.

    Place the apple and all the remaining ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.

    Pour the shake into 2 tall glasses and serve.
