- 2 tsp. oil
- 1 lb. thinly sliced carrots
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2/3 c. chopped celery
- 1 1/2 c. diced potatoes
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 5 whole cloves
- white pepper to taste
- 4 c. chicken broth
- dill weed to taste
Directions

1Heat oil.

2Add vegetables, garlic and sugar.

3Cook, covered, over low heat for 10 minutes.

4Stir occasionally.

5Add cloves, pepper and chicken broth; boil.

6Reduce heat and cook 20 minutes. Remove cloves.

7Process ingredients in blender until pureed. Sprinkle with dill weed.
