- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. chopped celery
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
- 6 c. dry bread cubes (1/2-inch)
- 1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped cashew nuts
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sage
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. Sauterne wine
- 1 egg
Directions

1Cook onion and celery in butter in skillet until tender.

2Add mixture to bread cubes and cashews.

3Mix in seasonings, water, wine and egg.

4Stuff bird immediately and roast.

5Makes 8 cups, enough to stuff a 12 pound turkey.
