Ingredients
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg, separated
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. chopped salted cashews or toasted almonds
- 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1 tsp. water
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg yolks. Stir in flour and salt.

3Press dough in ungreased rectangular 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with floured hands.

4Beat egg white and water; brush over dough.

5Sprinkle with cashews and press them lightly into dough.

6Bake for 25 minutes.

7Cool 10 minutes.

8Cut into 3-inch squares.

9Cut each square diagonally in half.

10Immediately remove from pan and cool.

11Drizzle with chocolate.

12Let stand about 2 hours or until chocolate is set.
