Ingredients
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. water
- 1 c. chopped salted cashews, Macadamia nuts or toasted almonds
- 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Mix sugars, margarine, vanilla and egg yolk.

3Stir in flour.

4Press dough in ungreased rectangular pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch), with floured hands.

5Beat egg white and water. Brush over dough.

6Sprinkle with cashews and press them lightly into dough.

7Bake about 25 minutes or until light brown; cool 10 minutes.

8Cut into 3-inch squares.

9Cut each square diagonally in half.

10Immediately remove from pan; cool.

11Drizzle with chocolate. Let stand about 2 hours or until chocolate is set.

12Yields 24 cookies.
