- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1/2 c. lukewarm milk, scalded, then cooled
- 2/3 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt

Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixer bowl.

2Add milk, 2/3 cup margarine, eggs, salt and 1 cup flour.

3Beat on low speed, scraping bowl constantly, 30 seconds.

4Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally, 2 minutes.

5Stir in remaining flour until smooth.

6Scrape batter from sides of bowl.

7Cover.

8Let rise in warm place until double (about 30 minutes).

9Batter is ready if indentation remains when touched.

10Stir batter down by beating about 25 strokes.
