Ingredients

  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 or 2 dashes hot pepper sauce
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 4 oz. black caviar

Directions

    Soften gelatin in cold water, then dissolve in hot water.

    Let cool.

    Add lemon juice, pepper sauce, mustard and mayonnaise to gelatin and water.

    Fold in sour cream and stir in caviar.

    Pour into 3 or 4-cup mold.

    Chill until set; unmold.

    Serve with Melba toast rounds.
