Celery Casserole

  • 4 c. celery, cut diagonally
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (5 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1/4 c. pimientos
  • 1/4 c. slivered almonds
  • 1/4 c. bread crumbs
  • 4 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Cook sliced celery in salted water for 4 minutes.

    (Do not overcook.)

    Drain and toss with soup, almonds and pimientos. Place in buttered casserole and cover with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 325° for 25 minutes (until crumbs are brown).

    This is good with chicken.
