- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- about 3 1/2 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. salad oil
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. poppy seed
Directions

1Early In The Day or Day Before:

2In a bowl, combine sugar, salt, yeast and 1 cup flour.

3In saucepan, heat oil and 3/4 cup water until very warm (125°).

4With mixer at low speed, beat liquid into dry ingredients.

5Beat at medium 2 minutes. Reserve 1 egg yolk.

6To mixture in bowl, add egg whites, 2 eggs and 1 cup flour.

7Beat 2 minutes. Stir in 1 1/4 cups flour.

8On floured surface, knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes, working in about 1/4 cup flour.

9Shape dough into a ball and place in greased bowl, turning dough to grease top. Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
