- 2 pkg. yeast
- 2 1/2 c. warm water
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. oil
- 4 eggs
- 8 2/3 c. flour (plain)
- 1 egg yolk
- 4 tsp. poppy seed
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Add sugar, salt, eggs and 6 cups of flour; beat well.

3Add more flour gradually, until stiff.

4Place on floured board and knead, adding flour, if necessary.

5Knead about 10 minutes.

6Place dough in a large bowl.

7Cover and let rise in warm place 1 1/2 hours, until triple in bulk.
