- 1 loaf baguette or French bread, split lengthwise, then cut in 1/2
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 10 blades fresh chives, chopped
Directions

1Heat broiler.

2Lightly toast bread under hot broiler.

3Remove bread from broiler and cover with shredded cheddar cheese.

4Sprinkle cheese liberally with chopped chives and set aside.

5When you are ready to serve your meal, return bread to broiler to melt cheese.

6When cheese is bubbly and lightly browned, remove bread from broiler and cut into 2-inch chunks.
