- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2/3 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Mix dry ingredients, sugar and cheese. Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly.

3Add milk all at once and stir with a fork until moistened.

4Knead on floured surface 10 times.

5Pat dough flat to 1/2-inch thickness.

6Cut into biscuits, place on ungreased pan, edges touching, and bake 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
