Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 23 cup dry milk
  • 14 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 12-34 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 12 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 12 cups whole wheat flour, fresh ground if possible
  • 2 12 tablespoons dry yeast

Directions

    Measure all ingredients into the bowl, using 3 cups of the flour to begin with.

    Stir with dough hook until mixed.

    Turn mixer up to speed 2 and slowly add flour until it forms a nice dough ball.

    You may not need all of the flour.

    Allow to knead for about 5 minutes.

    The dough will stick mostly to itself and not the sides of the bowl.

    Turn dough out onto greased surface and knead a few times shaping it into a neat ball.

    Flatten slightly and cut into thirds.

    Shape into loaves or buns.

    Allow to rise until doubled (20 minutes to 1 hour).

    Bake at 350 degrees.

    30 minutes for loaves.

    20 minutes for buns.

    Remove from pans and cool on rack.

    Any extra may be sliced and put into the freezer.
