- 2 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. paprika
- 3/4 c. butter
- 6 oz. sharp grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/3 c. water (approximately)
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients.

2Cut in 1/2 cup butter.

3Add cheese and mix well.

4Add enough water to hold ingredients together.

5Roll out on floured board to 14 x 8-inch rectangle.

6Dot with 2 tablespoons butter.

7Fold corners into center.

8Roll out again and dot with 2 tablespoons butter.

9Fold in corners again.
-
10Wrap in wax paper and chill for 30 minutes.

11Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into strips.

12Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.

13Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
