Cheddar Herb Snack Bread

  • 4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasons
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 c. hot water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (8 oz.) fancy shredded Cheddar cheese (2 c.)
  • 1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies, drained
  • 1 (2 oz.) jar sliced pimentos, drained

Directions

    In a large bowl combine 2 cups flour, undissolved yeast, herbs, garlic and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt; stir in hot water.

    Beat 2 minutes at medium speed (scrape bowl occasionally).

    Add eggs and 1/2 cup flour; beat 2 minutes with spoon.

    Stir in 1 cup cheese and enough additional flour to make a soft dough.

    Cover and let rest 20 minutes.
