- 2 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1-1/2 tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup cold butter or margarine, cut up
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) CRACKER BARREL Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup milk
Directions

1Heat oven to 400F.

2Mix dry ingredients in medium bowl; cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3Stir in cheese.

4Add combined egg and milk; stir just until moistened.

5Spoon into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.

6Bake 45 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

7Cool in pan 5 min.

8Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.
