  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter or margarine, cut up
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) CRACKER BARREL Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk

Directions

    Heat oven to 400F.

    Mix dry ingredients in medium bowl; cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

    Stir in cheese.

    Add combined egg and milk; stir just until moistened.

    Spoon into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.

    Bake 45 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Cool in pan 5 min.

    Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.
