- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese
- 2/3 c. raisins
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.

2Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

3Stir in cheese and raisins.

4Make a well in center of mixture.

5Combine egg and milk.

6Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.

7Spoon into greased and floured muffin pans.

8Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.

9Remove from pans.

10Yield: 14 muffins.
