- 2 c. milk, divided
- 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, well beaten
Directions

1Scald 1 1/2 cups milk.

2Mix cornmeal with remaining cold milk and add to hot milk.

3Cook, stirring constantly, over low heat until thickened, approximately 5 minutes.

4Add cheese, butter, sugar and salt; stir in eggs.

5Pour into 1-quart greased baking dish; bake at 350° for about 35 minutes, or until lightly browned and set.

6Serve immediately.
