  • unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 10 oz. crisp bacon, crumbled
  • 1/3 c. minced onion
  • 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • dash of ground red pepper

Directions

    Sprinkle bacon, onion and cheese in bottom of pie shell.

    Beat eggs slightly.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Pour over mixture. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 300° for 30 more minutes.

    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
