- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. grated cheese
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Mix flour, baking powder, and sugar together using a fork.

3Cut in shortening until it has the consistency of cornmeal.

4Add cheese.

5Stir in buttermilk all at one time until just blended.

6Do not overmix.

7Drop by tablespoonfuls (or use an ice cream scoop) onto a well-greased baking sheet.
