  • 14 cup butter, soft
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated (about 1/4 lb. per cup )
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne
  • 12 cup crisp rice cereal
  • 12 cup all-purpose flour, sifted

Directions

    Mix butter, cheese, salt, and cayenne together.

    Crush rice cereal with a rolling pin.

    Add cereal and flour to the butter mixture; blend well.

    Shape in small balls ( about 1 tsp for each ) .

    Place on ungreased baking sheet; flatten with a floured fork.

    Bake in a moderate oven ( 375 F ) for 8 to 12 minutes.
