Cheese Pancakes

9 ingredients
3 steps

Ingredients

  • FOR THE DOUGH:
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 pound Pot Cheese (Dry-curd Cottage Cheese)
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • FOR FRYING:
  • 1 cup Sunflower Oil
  • 1 cup Flour

Directions

  1. 1
Beat the egg and mix it with the sugar and whisk. Pour the sweet egg mixture into the pot cheese, add the flour and vanilla extract. Mix it all thoroughly and form pot cheese balls.
  2. 2
To fry, heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Roll the pot cheese balls in the flour on a cutting board and press each ball a bit on the top to form a pancake. Fry the cheese pancakes, 3 minutes on each side. They should get brown but the pot cheese shouldn't melt inside the pancake (see the photo).
  3. 3
Serve with sour cream, jam or honey.
