  • 1 1/2 lb. cottage cheese (sieve to make smooth)
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (10-inch) pie shell

    Line a pie pan with pastry (one 10-inch or two 8-inch).

    Beat eggs and sugar.

    Continue beating until light.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Beat well and strain.

    Pour into pie shell.

    Bake at 350° for 60 minutes, until center is firm.

    Turn off oven, open door and let stand in oven for 60 minutes.
