- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 2 1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. Crisco oil
- 1 egg
- 4 to 5 c. flour
- 1 pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients in large mixer bowl.

2Heat milk and oil in saucepan over low heat until warm.

3Add 1 egg and warm liquid to flour mixture; beat 1/2 minute at low speed and 3 minutes at medium speed.

4By hand, gradually stir 2 cups flour, Cheddar cheese and 2 to 3 cups more flour until soft dough.

5Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic.

6Cover and let rise until doubled in size.

7Punch down dough.

8Shape into rolls. Place in greased pan.

9Cover; let rise 15 to 20 minutes.

10Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
