Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 6 oz. extra sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c. cold water

Directions

    Mix all dry ingredients in large bowl.

    Cut in margarine with fork to crumb size.

    Add vinegar, cheese and cold water.

    Mix and shape into ball; wrap in wax paper or plastic.

    Chill at least 1 hour.

    Roll out amount needed (store rest in refrigerator).

    Roll very thin, cut in wedges, bake on greased cookie sheet at 375° for 10 minutes.
