Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter (do not substitute)
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. grated sharp cheese
  • red pepper (use sparingly)
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans (optional)

Directions

    Cream butter and cheese well.

    Add flour, red pepper, salt and pecans.

    Mix well.

    Form into small logs and wrap in foil.

    Leave in refrigerator until hard enough to slice.

    Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.

    Watch closely.

    For cheese sticks, use pastry bag to form stick.

    Chill, then bake same as before.
