- 7 slices white bread, crusts removed
- 1/2 lb. sharp cheese, grated
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- pepper to taste
- 2 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Butter both sides of bread and break into pieces.

2Make 3 layers of bread and cheese.

3Start with bread layer and top with cheese. Combine the eggs, salt, dry mustard, pepper and milk. Pour over cheese and bread.

4Refrigerate overnight (covered). Take from refrigerator 1 hour before cooking.

5Place dish in pan of water and bake at 350° for 1 hour, uncovered.
