Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. extra sharp Cheddar cheese (Cracker Barrel is best, it grates well)
- 1 stick soft butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. red pepper
- 1 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Mix all ingredients into dough that is soft and pliable.

2Run through #1 disc of cookie press into long strips on ungreased cookie sheets.

3Bake at 325° for 20 to 25 minutes.

4Cut into 2-inch pieces while still warm, but let cool in pan.

5Sprinkle lightly with paprika.

6Store in airtight plastic bag or cookie tin.

7Makes 6 dozen.

8Don't let them get brown or they'll be too done!
