- 3/4 lb. fresh asparagus or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen asparagus spears
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 c. cream-style cottage cheese, drained
- 1/4 c. shredded cheese (1 oz.)
- 1 Tbsp. sliced green onion
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- several dash bottled hot pepper sauce
- 1 tsp. butter or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. fine dry bread crumbs
Directions

1Wash fresh asparagus and break off tough ends.

2In a 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish, arrange fresh or frozen spears with tips toward center.

3Add water, cover with vented clear plastic wrap.

4Cook on 100% power for 7 to 9 minutes or until tender; rearrange asparagus once by switching center spears with those on the edges.
