  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 (16 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. crushed basil
  • 1 tsp. sugar (or grape jelly)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 5 to 6 c. Mozzarella cheese

    Boil lasagna noodles with 1/2 teaspoon salt and vegetable oil; when noodles are done, drain and put in cold water.

    While noodles boil, fry hamburger, onion and garlic.

    Drain.

    Put hamburger in a saucepan and add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, parsley, oregano, crushed basil, sugar (or grape jelly) and bay leaf; bring to a boil and let simmer for at least 20 minutes (the longer it simmers the better the sauce).
