Cheesy Turkey Chowder

- 2 frozen turkey wings or 1 turkey drumstick
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 c. carrots, sliced
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 1 c. potatoes, diced
- 2 c. milk
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. shredded cheese
Directions

1Place turkey wing or drumstick in large saucepan.

2Add water until meat is just covered.

3Add salt and onion.

4Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer until meat is tender.

5Remove meat from broth; debone and cut meat into small pieces.

6Set aside.

7To 4 cups broth (add water to make 4 cups, if necessary), add carrots, celery and potatoes.

8Simmer until tender.

9Gradually blend milk into flour until smooth.

10Stir into broth, along with butter and cheese.

11Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

12Add turkey meat.

13This is very good with chicken meat, too.
