- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 c. Minute rice
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp. thyme
- 1/8 tsp. oregano
- 1 bay leaf
- 3/4 c. onion
- Cheddar cheese, sliced
Directions

1Brown meat in oil.

2Drain.

3Add onion and cook until tender. Add tomatoes, soup, rice and seasonings.

4Let simmer about 5 minutes or longer if it seems too juicy.

5Remove bay leaf and pour into casserole dish.

6Top with sliced Cheddar cheese.

7Bake at 400° until the cheese is browned.

8Freezes well.
