Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. each: garlic powder, thyme and oregano
  • 1/2 bay leaf
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 1 c. cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c. Minute rice
  • olives
  • American cheese, sliced

Directions

    Brown meat and onion in olive oil.

    Stir in ingredients except olives and cheese.

    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Spoon into baking dish; top with cheese.

    Broil until cheese is melted.
