- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. margarine
- 3 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 large bottle maraschino cherries (save juice)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Grease and flour tube pan.

2Cream sugar and margarine together.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

4Add sifted flour, soda and salt gradually with buttermilk.

5Add chopped nuts, cherries and vanilla.

6Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool and frost with icing.
