- 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter, softened (can use margarine)
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. almond flavoring
- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. pecans or walnuts (leave in large chunks)
- 1 small jar cherries, cut up
- 1 lb. confectioners sugar
Directions

1Beat butter until softened and light.

2Add sugar and beat until fluffy.

3Add eggs, one at a time, and beat after each addition. Stir in almond flavor.

4Mix flour and salt together.

5Add to butter mixture alternately with milk (about 1/3 each time).

6Fold in nuts and cherries.

7Bake in greased tube or Bundt pan at 325° for 1 1/4 hours.
