  • No. 2 can cherries
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1/3 c. milk

Directions

    Thicken cherries in a saucepan with sugar and 1/4 cup flour. Make biscuit dough with remaining ingredients.

    Pour bubbling cherries into casserole; cover top with biscuit dough.

    Put into a 425° oven; turn down to 325° and bake 10 to 15 minutes.
