- 1/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. tapioca
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. cherries, seeded
Directions

1Beat butter, sugar and egg with electric mixer.

2Blend in flour, salt, baking powder and milk.

3Pour cherries into greased, shallow baking dish.

4Sprinkle with butter, tapioca and lemon juice.

5Spoon batter on top of cherries.

6Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.

7Serve warm with milk or cream or ice cream.
