  • 1 small box yellow cake mix or 1/2 pkg. regular size mix
  • 1 can Comstock cherry pie filling
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. walnut pieces
  • 1 stick butter or margarine

Directions

    Spread cherries over bottom of square pan (8 x 8-inches). Sprinkle nuts over this, then sprinkle cake mix over it.

    Sprinkle the 2 tablespoons water over top of mix.

    Dot with butter slices. Bake 1 hour in oven at 350°.
