- 6 egg whites
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. saltines
- 3/4 to 1 c. walnuts
- Cool Whip
- 1 can cherry pie filling
Directions

1Beat egg whites until foamy, then add sugar, cream of tartar and vanilla.

2Beat until it forms stiff peaks.

3By hand, stir in saltines (crushed) and walnuts.

4Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. When cool, spread with a large container of Cool Whip.

5Top with a can of cherry pie filling.

6Use 9 x 13-inch pan.
