  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 6 egg whites, beaten until frothy
  • 2 c. Ritz crackers, crumbled (1 stack pack)
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip
  • 1 can cherry pie filling (21 oz.)

Directions

    Add sugar and cream of tartar gradually to egg whites.

    Beat until stiff.

    Fold in crackers.

    Add nuts and vanilla.

    Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan (glass pan looks nice) at 350° for 25 minutes.

    Cool. While cooling, will fall some.
