  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • dash of salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 can tart cherries, drained
  • 1 c. nuts

Directions

    Sift first 4 ingredients together and set aside.

    Add beaten egg.

    Add cherries and nuts.

    Stir in the dry ingredients until blended.

    Do not add liquid.

    Bake in loaf pan at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes.

    When cool, serve with whipped cream.
