- 2 c. stewed dark red cherries
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar (or possibly 2 teaspoon baking pwdr)
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 c. lowfat milk
Directions

1Drain the cherries, reserving the juice for the sauce.

2Heat the butter in a 2 qt baking dish.

3Sift together the dry ingredients.

4Slowly add in the lowfat milk, pour the mix into the baking dish over the melted butter.

5Spoon the cherries into the center.

6Bake in a 375 degree oven 40 to 50 min, or possibly till a cake tester comes out clean.

7Let the pudding sit for 10 min to be sure it has set before serving with Cherry Pudding Sauce.
