  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • 14 cup sugar
  • 1 12 cups water
  • 1 14 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 3 tablespoons brandy

Directions

    In a saucepan combine the cherries, the sugar and 1 1/2 cups water and simmer for 10 minutes or until the liquid is reduced to 1 cup.

    Mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and add it to the cherry mixture, and simmer the mixture, stirring, for 2 minutes.

    Add the brandy and stir it in.

    Chill.
