- 1 c. margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon extract or juice
- 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
Directions

1In large bowl, cream margarine and sugar.

2Add eggs and flour. Mix in vanilla and lemon extract and blend well.

3Spread batter into greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch pan.

4Cut surface of batter into 24 squares.

5Spoon 4 cherries into center of each square.

6(Batter will puff up around cherries during baking.)

7Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

8While still warm, cut again into 24 squares.

9Cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
