  • 1 can cherries
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • milk
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

    Drain juice from cherries; set aside.

    Add 1 cup sugar to cherries and put in greased baking dish 9-inch square.

    Put oil in measuring cup; add egg and enough milk to make 1 cup.

    Mix with 1 cup sugar and dry ingredients.

    Pour over cherries in pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
