- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 6 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 2 c. chilled half and half
- 1 (8 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
Directions

1Mix sugar, salt, milk and egg yolks in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thickened (bubbles appear).

2Cool to room temperature and add half and half, vanilla and cherries, including juice.

3Freeze in crank type freezer per manufacturer's instructions.
