  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. milk or juice (cherry)
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 c. dates
  • 1/3 c. cherries
  • 2 c. cornflakes, crushed

    Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt.

    Cream together Crisco, brown sugar and white sugar.

    Make small round cookies; roll in crushed cornflakes.

    Cut cherries in small pieces and put one in center of cookie to make a wink.
